Why You Should Always Exfoliate.

Exfoliators have always been part of my skin care regime since I started wearing make-up and it's one of the most important part of it (after moisturising). There are so many benefits to exfoliating so if exfoliating isn't part of your skin care regime then keep reading to see why it should be;

  • Removes Surface Skin Cells
  • Helps achieve healthy and glowing skin
  • It's great to use on dry skin as it removes old dry skins cells so when you moisturise your moisturising new skin cells
  • Exfoliation helps reduce the occurrence of acne and blackhead breakouts
  • Speeds up skin renewal
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • makes your pores appear smaller
  • Serums and moisturisers are better absorbed into the skin
  • Helps sunscreen to protect your skin
  • Improves skin colour
  • Fades hyper-pigmentation
  • Get a closer shave

Exfoliators for your skin type;

Tip for exfoliating;

  • Do not wash your face before ex-foliating, splash your face with some water then massage your exfoliator into your face
  • Ex-foliate before sleep so your sensitive skin will not be exposed to day light
  • Never use body exfoliators on your face
  • Don't exfoliate everyday
  • Only exfoliate once a month if you have dry skin
  • Always moisture after ex-foliating to keep skin hydrated
  • Always patch test an exfoliator if you have sensitive skin

I hope this has helped you decided weather or not you will introduce ex-foliating into your skin care regime and if you already exfoliate then you have learnt some tips.

Have you got any exfoliators you would recommend and what ones are working for your skin type?

See you soon!
Love,
Sinead  x
