I cannot express enough how much I have wanted this Morphe 15D Day Slayer Eyeshadow palette, I know that makes it sound like I've been wanted it for ages but the truth is, it's been a week but it hasn't been plain sailing to get my hands on this palette. I ordered this palette within seconds of seeing it on instagram, I fell in love with it at first sight, I don't know if this has ever happened to you before (let me know of your experience in the comments) it's literally all the eyeshadow colours I love put into one sleek palette.
I couldn't wait for this palette to arrive, I had dreams of all the photos I was going to take of it, all of the times I was going to use it.. You know the drill. I was so disappointed when I had stayed at home all day and then I received a text from DPD telling me they had attempted to deliver my parcel but nobody was home and they had left a call card. Well since I'd been practically waiting on the other side of my front door all afternoon like a dog waiting for it's owner(s) to come home I knew damn well they hadn't been and the call card was nowhere in sight.
Upon this I DM'd DPD on twitter as it's just quick and convenient instead of finding their email and then emailing them, I expressed that I had been home all day waiting blah blah blah only to have been told that the delivery drivers hand held device had sent them to a different location!! It says my address on the parcel? how does that happen? I was then told because my parcel had already been scanned out they don't know where it is and for me to contact the sender of the parcel and explain to them they need to get in touch with DPD to carry out a parcel search investigation.. Why couldn't DPD contact them? They lost the parcel so why was it down to me to contact Morphe to let them know?
After a few days of not hearing anything back from either Morphe or DPD I suspected I wouldn't receive the palette at all, until I received a text to inform me my delivery was due today!! It was a very exciting time as you can imagine. I should add DPD really expressed their apologies and said they were extremely disappointed by this situation.
Now onto the good stuff, the packaging is very sleek. It's Matt black with 'Morphe' on the front, and it's surprisingly quite heavy. This palette is limited edition from the Holiday Collection so if you have fallen in love with it via a picture you need to grab this up ASAP.
The palette also comes with a mirror which the other morphe palettes I own do not and it's a very decent size mirror, I'll definitely be taking this on holiday with me this year.
You get 15 super creamy, blendable and lets not forget extremely pigmented eye shadows in the 15D palette, six shimmers and 9 matte colours. They are perfect for day and night. I especially like this palette as it's a bunch of warm tones which really compliment my eye colour (I have blue eyes) so I am naturally drawn to those eyeshadow colours. I can't wait to create so many new looks with this and what's great is I can use it all year round!
I would definitely recommend this palette to everyone! I'm so pleased with it. This was only
£15.00 from Morphe and I think the postage was £4.50, which I think is a total bargain for such a great quality product.
